One of my diversions is to raise Peafowl, direct from hatching in an incubator, to bonding with me, or just taming them. These two are in crates, inside my home, and when their crates are opened will fly to my shoulder or to the back of my chair. The one to our left, "Little Bird", is 1 month old, while the one to our right, "Peaco", is 2 1/2 months old.
Train, Over and Over and Over. Yesterday's shooting had me switching from right hand to left hand after each shot, and doing it as fast as I could "return to target". The group is a little wide, but acceptable considering changing hands and doing it fast. Those who shoot regularly would agree that the only way is to train over and over and over. On my "own time and dime". Because of the affordability of its ammo, my weapon of choice is my Henry .22 Lever Action Carbine. And I have others to choose from. These and more:
